Long-term digital radio hire

Long-term radio hire

Five radios for a small business, or 500 radios for a multi-region wide area network, and everything in between.
A full system for a hotel, stadium, mine, hospital, school, warehouse, factory, power station, shopping centre and more.

£6 + VAT

per radio per week. Pricing starts from this figure.

Gould Electronics hires the radios for as long as you need them. The rental includes everything required to keep them running, with zero surprise costs.
Zero surprise costs

Licence fees, battery replacements, repairs for non-physical damage, exchange radios and full repeater maintenance are included in the hire. Remote monitoring can be added. A customer DAS design or Motorola MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus is added when the site needs it.

All licence fees

Ofcom licence fees for the hired system are included for the length of the hire.

Battery replacements

When a battery will no longer last a shift, Gould replaces it under the hire.

Repairs for non-physical damage

A radio that fails in normal use is repaired under the hire. Damage from a drop, a crush or water is outside the hire.

Exchange radios

If a radio has to come off the site, a replacement goes on so the team is not left short.

Optional remote monitoring

Gould can watch the system from the workshop and act on a fault before the site finds it. Ask for this on the form.

Full repeater maintenance

Checks, fault repairs and the work that keeps coverage across the site, for the whole of the hire.

One hire. Gould carries the cost of keeping the system running.

Systems Gould designs for the hire
Customer DAS design

A distributed antenna system carries the radio through the building: basements, plant rooms, stairwells, long corridors and rooms a single aerial would miss. Gould designs the DAS for that building, then the hire keeps it running. A small fleet on an open site does not need one.

Motorola MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus

Capacity Plus is Motorola’s single-site trunked radio system. Housekeeping, security, maintenance and a control room each have their own group, and the repeater shares the airtime between them. Gould hires and maintains Capacity Plus when a site has several teams on the air at once.

Who hires long term
Small businesses

A shop, a yard, a workshop or a team of five. Hiring five radios long term is a normal order.

Hotels

Housekeeping, security, maintenance, porters and front of house, from the bedrooms to the kitchen, the car park and the event suites.

Football stadiums

Safety, stewards, catering and grounds staff across the stands, the pitch, the gates and the concourses, on a match day and through the week.

Mines and quarries

Surface teams and crews below ground, on a system that still works where a mobile phone does not.

Visitor attractions

Sites on the scale of the Eden Project, and smaller attractions: indoor spaces, grounds, car parks and a team spread across the visit.

Factories

Plants on the scale of Pilgrims, and smaller works: production, the warehouse, the yard and the shift managers on the same radios.

How a long-term hire works
Tell us about the site

Use the form below, or call. Say what the site is, how many people need to talk, and where the coverage has to reach.

We put the system in

Five radios, or a larger fleet. A repeater where the site needs one, a customer DAS design where the signal has to reach every floor, and Motorola MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus where several teams are on the air at once. Channels programmed, and the licence arranged.

We keep it running

Batteries, repairs, exchange radios and repeater maintenance stay with Gould. Remote monitoring can be added. The running costs stay inside the hire.

Ask about a long-term hire

Five radios or a full system. Tell us what you need. Pricing starts from £6 + VAT per radio per week, and the hire includes the running costs.
