Short and long term radio hire

Short-term radio hire

Festivals, races, traffic management, construction, security, film and TV, and other jobs that only need radios for a short time.

Gould Electronics hires professional two-way radios, PoC radios, and a custom-made Starlink box, for the length of the job. A weekend festival, a marathon, a car trial, a road closure or a day on a film set: tell us the date, the site and how many people need to talk. The sets go out charged, programmed and labelled.

Festivals and outdoor events

Stewards, medical cover and stage crews can reach each other across the site, including places where the mobile signal drops out.

Traffic management

Marshals on a closure, a diversion or a set of roadworks stay in contact from one end of the job to the other. The handhelds are straightforward to use in hi-vis and gloves.

Construction workers on site, one using a two-way radio
Construction

A crew on a short job can talk between the gate, the banksman and the site office, then hand the radios back when the work is done.

Event security using a two-way radio
Security

Door teams, stewards and event security stay on one channel, so a problem at a gate or in the crowd is passed on straight away.

Film and TV

Camera, sound, runners and floor managers stay in touch across a location or a studio, without shouting over the set.

PoC radios

PoC means push-to-talk over cellular. The handset uses the mobile phone network, so a marathon course, a film unit or a traffic job can stay in contact without a hilltop repeater. If you need PoC radios, say so in the notes on the form below.

Starlink internet hire

From £196 + VAT

This is a hire, for the length of the job. The kit is a custom-made Starlink box, and the service is Roam Unlimited, so the data is not capped. A site with little or no mobile signal can still get online.

On its own, the box is a single access point. It can also be combined with a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint link, so one box can cover a larger area and several remote locations.
