How to format Blackvue Cameras
Formatting your SD Card ensures that your camera will continue to work at optimal performance
Remove the card from the camera
- 1. Power off the dashcam and take out the microSD card.
- 2. Insert the microSD card into the microSD card reader.
- 3. Connect the microSD card reader to your computer.
Start the Blackvue Viewer
- 4. Run the BlackVue Windows viewer from the microSD card or download it from our website and install the program on your computer and run.
- 5. Click the Format button
- 6. Select the microSD card drive and click OK.
Final step's
- 7. Locate your SD Card by clicking on "My Computer"
- 8. Right click on the device and select "Safely remove device" and wait for confirmation to do so.
- 9. Put the card back in the camera and listen out for "initializing SD Card" and ensure no error messages are read.
